Gridence Oy has received funding to support the next phase of its airspace situational awareness platform, with a focus on user interface development.

The funding decision was issued on March 26, 2026, under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) 2023–2027 programme as part of a business development support instrument. The application was processed through the local Leader group Veej’jakaja ry, whose board supported the funding for the preparation of the company’s development measure.

Gridence is developing a real-time airspace situational awareness system designed for safety-critical and operational environments. The platform’s technical foundation and map-based interface are already functional and currently being tested in real-world conditions.

The project focuses on preparing a structured approach to further developing the user interface. This includes an external expert evaluation, identification of key usability improvements, and definition of unified design principles and development priorities.

The outcome of the project will be a documented UI development plan supporting the system’s transition towards wider commercial deployment.

The project has received €2,000 in public funding, co-financed by the European Union and the Finnish state. Gridence thanks Veej’jakaja ry, the European Union and the Finnish state for supporting the project and the further development of the company’s airspace situational awareness platform.
