Gridence Oy has received start-up funding for the development of its airspace situational awareness system through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, via the Leader group Veej’jakaja.
The objective of the project is to further develop the Gridence system, which enhances the safety of both manned and unmanned aviation and enables their integration within the same airspace. The solution combines data from multiple sources into a clear, real-time operational picture.
The project focuses on strengthening the technical development of the system and improving readiness for scalable service-based business operations. The work includes acquiring expert services to support backend development and to produce detailed documentation of system interfaces for future development.
As a result of the project, Gridence will improve its capability to launch and scale its solution to broader markets.
The funding has been granted as a start-up grant for establishing business operations. The funding decision was granted on 30 December 2025.
The total project funding is EUR 7,500, of which EUR 3,225 is funded by the European Union. Gridence Oy is grateful for the support from the European Union, the Finnish state and the Leader group Veej’jakaja, which helps the company take the next step in developing and commercialising its airspace situational awareness system.
